FAQ

  • We’re so glad you asked. We’ve all known each other for many, many, years, and so there is a deep bond of trust. By unifying together, we share a high standard of consistent quality, lean on each other for support and inspiration, and share an endless supply of inventory. Together we’ve created a massive library of rotating books, craft supplies, and play items! We are never short of ideas for fun and engaging games and activities!

  • No. Since each location only works with three our four little ones at a time, we have been described as similar. However, nanny shares are specifically operated in the homes of the families involved. We are more accurately described as “day homes”, since we provide care out of our own home spaces.

  • A day home is a childcare space within a provider’s private home, offering a smaller, more intimate, and home-like environment compared to larger home daycares or commercial settings. These environments serve small mixed-age groups of three or four children, allowing for more personalized attention, flexible hours, and consistent care.

  • All of us strongly believe in the developmental benefits of young children interacting across a range of ages, but each of us has our own preferred range. Check out our locations page for current ages accepted into each care space.

Yes! We do offer infant care. However, we only accept one or two infants at a time, per location, both for quality of care and for legal compliance.

  • Since we often have tiered care across a range of ages. A new spot opens approximately every six months to one year, when the oldest child departs to preschool or in the event a family relocates. Keep an eye on new care openings via our locations page. Or submit an application to be placed on our waitlist to be directly notified when a new spot opens!

  • We have a 100% SCREEN FREE policy during care hours. We prioritize face-to-face interaction, creativity, and play-based learning.

  • Each location has a different daily care schedule. A custom weekly rate is created for each family’s commitment, based on how many hours/days are needed. When viewed hourly, care commitments fall between $16-$30 per hour.

Our tailored rates are based on Blooming Care Network’s standard drop-in rates:
    $30 per hour
    $150 per day
    $600 per week.

  • Yes, we do. But it is still important to us that every family we work with is compatible, so the application process is the same for drop-in care as it is for a weekly commitment, including family interview and space tour.

  • We issue weekly invoices that are payable via credit card or Zelle. For credit card payments, a 3.5%+$0.30 merchant service charge is applied. Zelle is free. :)

  • Yes. You may submit a claim form to request reimbursement, utilize invoice records, or pay directly with your FSA card. Card payments will have a merchant service charge applied.

  • Yes! Every family will receive an end-of-year care statement for record keeping and tax purposes. This includes the total amount of tuition paid for the year, as well as our EIN number.

  • All of us are compliant with Denver’s local child care laws. Since each of us only cares for three or four children at one time, with a maximum of two infants, there is not a specific license that applies to us.

E.g. a license to expand to three infants, five or more children, or overnight care.

Our small size allows for the personalized care quality that sets us apart, and all of us are happy with that.

  • Absolutely. Our past and present families are happy to share their experiences with you, and many have shared testimonials and letters that we proudly display on our location page.

  • If your child has sniffles or a mild cold, we are still available for care. We ask that your child stay home if symptoms include vomiting or diarrhea, a temperature of 100.4 or above, or a contagious rash/transmissible condition. Care may resume once they are free from the above symptoms for twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours, or with a doctor’s note. Additionally, each child must be “well enough to participate”. If there is an absence due to illness, our compensation is unaffected.

  • Each of us has a slightly different holiday closure schedule, but all locations are closed on the following days:

    • New Year’s Day

    • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

    • Presidents’ Day

    • Memorial Day

    • Independence Day

    • Labor Day

To learn about additional closures, be sure to request a location-specific copy of our Blooming Care Network Agreement, to review the closures for the space for which you are most interested in applying.

  • If you connect with everything you’ve read so far, it sounds like you just might be a great fit. Visit our application page for the steps to apply and submit your information when you’re ready! :)
